Endowment: The Time is Now to Gift for Tomorrow

In the end, we are all remembered for our acts, for the lives we touch, and by the causes we advance. One of the most important things you can do is to create a lasting legacy in our community by contributing to our Mount Zirkel Legacy Fund. Living United in the Yampa Valley

The Yampa Valley is beautiful in so many ways. Our mountains and landscape, particularly now during autumn are breathtaking. From the United Way of the Yampa Valley’s (UWYV) perspective, it’s our people that make our valley beautiful. The acceptance, respect, and honoring of who people are is what makes our community so special. Having a diverse community in the middle of the northwest Colorado mountains is what makes our valley unique. Whether you have lived here all your life or just moved here, it’s the welcoming, friendly, and accepting community that keeps us here. The recent antisemitic incidents do not align [...]

Over $583,000 Invested in 2020

Routt County United Way (RCUW) advances the common good in Routt County by providing access to education, financial stability, and health. We focus on three goals to make the greatest impact in our community: early childhood education, youth success, and financial stability. We mobilize change by uniting people, ideas, and resources that play a critical role in creating positive results in Routt County. In 2020, we did all that and more.  When called upon in the early months of 2020, RCUW jumped into action to provide access to resources to those and need. In a time of crisis, it was [...]

Holiday Exchange Market Transitions

Holiday Exchange Market Transitions Routt County United Way has been involved with Christmas Wishes, Holiday Wishes, and the Holiday Exchange Market for more than thirty years. Our nonprofit community has grown and matured since the beginning of the program to form a safety net of organizations and resources to help anyone in need. In fact, if someone calls us or walks in our door with needs, we can refer them to a host of resources, programs, and organizations (we have an entire notebook full of resources) to assist them year-round. This was not always the case and our community has [...]
