After our 2020 Day of Caring was cancelled during a time of limited social and physical interaction, Routt County United Way is ecstatic to bring back our signature volunteer day in 2021. We are excited to announce Day of Caring returns to Routt County on May 19, 2021.

New Procedures in Place

We have adjusted our plans to comply with all local guidelines to host our outdoor volunteer event. Volunteer projects will start at 9am. All volunteers must completely fill out the volunteer application form in order to participate by 5pm on Friday, May 7th. The maximum group you may sign up with is 10. If you are registering your business with 16 employees, please split into two groups of eight. Requested projects you would like to complete will be considered but cannot be promised due to capacity restrictions at project locations and while performing tasks to comply with social distancing requirements.

In order to participate on Day of Caring, masks must be worn and COVID waivers must be signed when arriving at your project. Day of Caring projects will finish by 12pm where a complimentary lunch and brief reception will be held outside at the base of Howelsen Hill.

How to Participate

To get started, fill out the Day of Caring volunteer form by 5pm on Friday, May 7th.

All projects will be matched between May 12th and 17th via email. You will be placed in contact with your project coordination at the facility where you will be volunteering, and hear all remaining instructions from your project coordinator. If weather does not permit outdoor work, your project coordinator will tell you if there is a rescheduled volunteer day or if your project is cancelled. The reception and lunch will be held rain or shine, dress accordingly.

If you are an agency and want to submit a project to be completed, please fill out the Project Signup form by 5pm on Friday, May 7th.
